Premier Shutters of New England About Premier Shutters of New England
is today widely recognized as New England’s premiere distributor of operable and fully functional composite shutters. Established in 2002, Premier Shutters of New England has been distributing custom manufactured shutters in an unlimited range of design and style options to complement and enhance virtually any architectural décor. All shutters manufactured to Premier Preservation-Grade Standards are custom manufactured and meticulously hand assembled to meet the highest quality standards of historical and archtectural authenticity … to the point that many Historic District Commissions have approved their use, and leading architects across New England (and throughout the country, for that matter)  now specify  them for many of America's finest homes. So whether you are bringing new life to a historic residence, putting the final touch on a summer retreat, or simply want to add lasting elegance to your family's home, Premier Preservation-Grade Shutters can provide you with the shutters you require.

Premier Shutters s New England's only Distributor dedicated entirely to custom shutter solutions for the home! Since 2001, when we first installed Composite Shutters on our 1820 Greek Revival home in historic Edgartown on Martha's Vineyard, Premier Shutters of New England has been exclusively dedicated to the distribution of the very best in composite shutters, regardless of the source of manufacture. Preservation-Grade shutters are now seen throughout  New England. Today our shutters grace buildings in the historic districts of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, and Wickford, Rhode Island, and appear on historic homes in Lenox, Manchester-by-the-Sea,  Nantucket, Massachusetts, and Yorktown, Virginia. They are being utilized by Dartmouth College as replacements for the failing wood shutters on their historic Old White Row consisting of Dartmouth Hall (1784-1793, rebuilt 1904), Thornton and Wentworth Halls (both 1828-1829), and Reed Hall (1839-1840). Finally, they are specified and recommended by many of New England's finest architects who work in traditional and vernacular styles. We hope you like what you see on our website. Whether bringing new life to an historic residence, putting the final touches on your summer retreat, or simply to add elegance to your family's home, we can create the shutters you want!  Today, we represent three of the world’s premium manufacturers of traditionally designed operable shutters and the very best of lightweight, impact-rated, storm panels.  The oldest of these manufacturers has been in business since 1947, the newest and largest has been producing polycarbonate glazing materials for over 40 years.  Together these two suppliers have over a hundred years in the business … far more experience than any other single company.  Every product produced is handcrafted to the specific needs of your home, whether it is replacement of failed wood shutters, up-grading to meet the requirements of modern building codes relative to storm protection, or to get a new and vibrant look to your present dwelling.
